This is where I went on my first date with my wife of seventeen years. They were great times, the 50's. I LIVED ACROSS THE HIGHWAY IN THE LITTLE, YELLOW, STEEL HOUSE FOR SOME YEARS. Thank you.

I worked there when I was in high school for two summers. Always let me friends in for a six pack. We made the worst hamburgers and hot dogs on earth. Remember watching the Godfather 36 times!! Had a huge fire in the back which bordered large oil tanks. Someone threw a lit cigarette into the small creak in the rear of the property which had filled up with leaking oil from one of the tanks and the whole creek shot flames 50 feet in the air, it was awesome!!

I worked there in the early 80's. Lots of fond memories... One night while checking trunks for stowaway's, I had a Cadillac pull in with the rear bumper almost dragging on the ground and one person driving. I had him open the trunk and as God is my witness, there must have been 20 people in there. I was so amazed, I let them go... Could have qualified for Guinness Book of Records...

The construction company that built the V Drive-in was the C.T. Scott Contracting Co. of Newport News, VA.
